Our roots

JSBJJ is a well-established team that has been growing visibly since 2011; in those years the club has opened affiliations in Dublin and around Europe. In our club we teach values and characters along with top level jiu jitsu; our goal is to create a winning person on and off the mat.

Our coaches are driven by a passion for martial arts, in and out the dojo. One of the most positive environments you will ever be in, the club is filled with friendly people that constantly try to improve themselves and work hard to reach their goals.

Our Mission

What we do

Jiu-Jistu is for everyone, but everyone is different. We tailor jiu-jitsu for each of our members, and we take good care to ensure constant progress.

Our classes

BEGINNER’S CLASSES
Our BEGINNER’S classes are great for first-timers, focusing on fundamental principles and self-defence.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES
Our INTERMEDIATE classes run all day long, great for beginners and more experienced practitioners.

ADVANCED CLASSES
The ADVANCED class is for those of you who want the extra adrenaline and are ready to go the extra mile. Our PROFESSIONALS CLASSES are advanced-level competition classes.

NO-GI CLASSES
Our No-Gi classes teach BJJ grappling without the gi. Our no-gi classes teach a strong grappling defence.

KIDS/TEENS CLASSES
Our KIDS and TEENS classes build a solid BJJ foundation and teach your child to build self-esteem, respect rules, and, from a technical point of view, teach drills and fun games.

Please note that every bank holiday the gym is closed all day, get in touch with the club to confirm eventual open mat session.

HOW TO BEGIN

First, book a free trial class! We’ll provide you with all the gear you need. Just bring a T-shirt, shorts (to wear underneath the gi), flip-flops, and a water bottle! Arrive 15 minutes before the class to get checked in.

After your trial class, we invite you to sign up for our next beginner’s course start date. You can sign up anytime at reception, pickup your gear, and start training on the beginner course start date. There are several classes to train in, 7 days per week.

After you finish your first two months of the beginner’s course membership, we invite you signup for our monthly membership to continue training!

COURSE DETAILS

All our beginner programs ensure that the new students will get a basic understanding of jiu jitsu principle and self defence to kick start their journey.

This is the right course for you if:

  • you never done BJJ before, or have not trained in a while.

  • you are looking to learn basic self defense skills.

  • you want to learn something new, have fun and get to know new people.

  • you are looking to get in shape but want to avoid the boring gym routine

  • you are looking for a healthy way to manage stress.

  • you are in your 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, there is no limit; if you are men or women.

Jiu Jitsu has been promoted for years as a great all around sport as the benefits of it are endless, physically and mentally.

Again there is no right age, or time to start BJJ, it is not a male only sport; our club have many thriving girls and ladies enrolled, of all ages.

We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to racism, and any form of physical or mental bullying, we aim at providing the same

Our focus is the successful development of each student, with a tailored approach we make sure that everyone can benefit from our classes and courses.

The course is two months long and aims at giving you a strong foundation to move over fundamental class next. The training equipment will be provided on your first day, or arranged prior to start date; please come at least 15 minutes before class starts time on your first day.
